The Pivotal Vision System tracks objects down to a size of 9 pixels. This allows filters to be used to define different types of object characteristics to validate true motion or whether it is background motion such as a waving tree. Becasue of Pivotal Vision's iAlert analytics ability to track objects as small as 9 pixels on target, The PV System is the only non-military system known that can track a moving object with a moving pan tilt camera with motion in the background.

The Pivotal Vision System operates even if lines of communications are disrupted. The PV system patented built-in redundancies ensures the system is uninterruptable whereas the data is gathered and stored on the remote system and is sent to the enterprise server’s data repository when networking is available but still operates as normal if communications are disrupted. This provides an extraordinary fault tolerant method of operation. This provides continuous operations and data backup by retaining data at both locations.
The Pivotal Vision System has quick access to information. The PV systemuses an enterprise server and data repository that allows images to be captured in real-time stored locally and transferred as network conditions allow. The benefit is that when the user needs to get information it is on the local and fast LAN, giving immediate access to information.
The Pivotal Vision System requires minimal bandwidth for enterprise viewing of remote sites. It employs a unique method of obtaining video and thermal data remotely, and then displays it centrally to the organization. The method allows multiple people from security to operations and maintenance personnel to simultaneously look through the same visual or thermal cameras to assess a site or event. The system even allows authorized personnel to review the situation from outside the organizations network.
The Pivotal Vision System's remote sites are secure. Different from all other IP embedded camera systems, The PV system does not have any open ports that would allow users from the outside to gain access to your system and network. The PV Intelligent Video Appliance (IVA) can only contact the enterprise System Managment Server (SMS).
